These terms and conditions govern your use of the Spectacle Connection website and our opticianry and optometry services. By accessing this website or booking an appointment, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Services
Spectacle Connection provides opticianry and optometry-related services including eye screenings, frame and lens selection, driver's licence vision screenings, contact lens consultations, and referrals. All services are subject to availability and may change without prior notice.
3. Bookings & appointments
Appointments may be booked via our website, WhatsApp, phone, or in person. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel appointments due to unforeseen circumstances. Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
4. Pricing & payment
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and are subject to change. Prices quoted include basic single-vision lenses unless otherwise stated. Payment is due at the time of order or upon collection. We accept cash, EFT, and card payments. Medical aid claims are processed where applicable — patients remain liable for any shortfalls.
5. Products & availability
Frame and lens availability is subject to stock levels and supplier lead times. We strive to display accurate product information, colours, and pricing, but cannot guarantee that all information is error-free. We reserve the right to limit quantities and discontinue products without notice.
6. Warranty
Frames purchased from Spectacle Connection come with a 12-month manufacturer warranty against manufacturing defects. Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, and lens scratches are not covered. Free adjustments on frames purchased from us are available for the lifetime of the frame.
7. Refunds & exchanges
Due to the custom nature of prescription eyewear, refunds are not offered on prescription lenses once manufactured. Frame exchanges may be considered within 7 days of collection if the frame is in original, unworn condition and the lenses have not yet been fitted. This is subject to management discretion.
8. Website use
You agree not to misuse this website by knowingly introducing viruses or other malicious material. You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its server, or any connected databases. The content on this website is for general information and may change without notice.
9. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, images, and software — is the property of Spectacle Connection or its content suppliers and is protected by South African and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without prior written permission.
